iMpReSSioNs 'bOut ASSP

I really don't remember the first time I heard the word ASSP. But I remember how my mom---(I don't know if this word is proper)---pressured me to go into the program.


Ever since I became a junior a high school student, I have always hoped to be one of the LUCKY fellas to join. Many things have been said 'bout the program... And mind you, they are all good. That's why I really can't help but to long for it.


And finally, one cool afternoon---our school principal called me and another classmate of mine who also took the test,to give us the letter from the Ateneo de Zamboanga University.


With shaking hands and palpitating heart, I opened it and read.... It was one of the happiest days of my life!! I GOT IN!!! I"M PART OF THE PROGRAM!!! Thank goodness... My prayers have been answered!!! I don't have to worry 'bout my mom's reaction. I met her and my father's expectation...=)


I have always admired ASSP. Though I don't even have any ideas about it,what's in the program,what we are going to do---I always want to be in it. And here I am... Finally home...



And as expected, the program is great!!! Full of different people,activities,lessons(not just academics, but LIFE as well.) I was given the privilege to meet wonderful people... Wonderful friends... I know it's still quite early to say this, but I'd say it anyway... This is the BEST!!!



A lot of memories have been made... The lakwatsa sessions,tuksuhan,asaran,biruan... Everything has been memorable!!!



And as the old saying goes----"First impression lasts...."

April 12, 2007--- students from different schools all over the Zamboanga Peninsula were gathered together for the 15th Ateneo Senior Summer Program. Proudly wearing their school uniforms, the students filled the Ateneo's Admission Office.

Why am I talking like this?I'm like a reporter!!haha...I'm one of the participants you know so I think I better start relating experiences in my point of view. How 'bout that?


Well...Counting the days,this is the 11th day since the program started. This has really been so special! And it's also a great experience... I swear!! Meeting new people with different personalities and different outlooks in life---it's certainly one of a kind!!!


It's also pretty amazing how we get along easily...On the second day of the program, we were grouped into 7 to have group discussions. We were told to share something about ourselves,our personalities and our experiences in life. And guess what? We didn't have time for those "hiya-hiya"---when it's our turn to share, share kaagad!!! haha.. Parang mga members ng AKMU!!


On the third day---we went to Mindpro after the Mass to make "tambay" and "get-to-know-each-other" It was very fun!!(I spent almost a hundred and fifty pesos for that single day!!huhu...Butas na bulsa ko...=>) But it was worth it---I thought to myself. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and if I were given the chance to do it all over again,I'd do iT!!


Hmmm....Aside from that---I forgot to mention that there's a lot of cuties here!!! Ahz in CUTIESZ!!!!! And of course,not just the typical CUTIESZ!!! They're smart and intelligent... The SALT guides also...haha!! Andami kong crush dito... But I won't enumerate them..mahirap nah!!! Mabibisto ako...


I guess this is all for today---ASSP ROCKS!!!!
